Our Team
In order to pull of this project we assembled a team of six training centres and two research institutes. More information on the team members can be found bellow.
The Institute for Coach and Bus
The Institute for Coach and Bus (ICB) is the Centre of Excellence of the Belgian Bus and Coach industry. The principal task of the Institute is to support the companies of the sector and other sector organisations (federation, social fund, training institute, …) through research, consultancy and training activities. In this project we act as coordinator.

EduBron
The research group Edubron is part of the Department of Training and Education Sciences within the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Antwerp (Belgium).
Edubron provides training and education research with impact, at a national and an international level. Their driving principle is to generate high-quality, innovative research, with both academic and social relevance which makes Edubron a point of reference for fellow academics, policy-makers and practitioners.

BVWL
BVWL (Bildungswerk Verkehr Wirtschaft Logistik NRW e.V.), founded in 1979, is an educational institute for adults and a subsidiary of the trade and employer´s association for the logistics industry in the largest federal state North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. It offers various vocational and professional training programs to people already working within the expanding transport sector as well as to young trainees and unemployed people looking for officially recognized apprenticeships.
The courses and seminars range from support and training for people starting a new business or becoming self-employed to preparation courses for professional exams and management seminars for executives.

Česmad Bohemia
ČESMAD BOHEMIA, the association of road transport operators, is the largest association of carriers operating in the national and international carriage of goods and passengers in the Czech
Republic.
It has more than 2 200 members operating more than 20 000 vehicles. Its mission is to promote the development and prosperity of road transport. The Association provides business services, vocational training and consulting.
Staff of ČESMAD BOHEMIA consists currently of 149 paid persons (Full and part time).

TUR
The Transport Training Board (in Danish: Transporterhvervets Uddannelser - TUR) is responsible for setting national standards and goals for all apprenticeship training for operational personnel of the transportation sector in Denmark, as well as for all labour market training (the AMU System) for the same sector. TUR is a statutory body, according to the Law on Vocational Training and Education and the Law on Labour Market Training. Representatives from labour unions and employers' associations within the transport sector make up the Board in parity.

FCBO
FCBO is a non profit training institute. It was founded in 1999 in order to offer life-long-learning opportunities for bus & coach drivers active in the private bus & coach companies in Belgium. Since the introduction of the European directive 2003/59 on CPC for professional drivers FCBO provides periodic training to approximately 9.000 busdrivers yearly. It is estimated that 95% of the bus and coach drivers of private companies follow the 35 h periodic training through the courses provided by FCBO. FCBO has more then 17 training modules (theoretical as well as practical), most of them available in all national official languages. FCBO appeals to more then 150 trainers, to deliver yearly almost 2.000 training days. Most of these trainers work on a freelance base or are still active as a experienced driver in a private bus company. FCBO owns two high-end bus simulators that are used in periodic training. FCBO is managed by both employers and workers organisations, hence the broad support from the stakeholders within the industry.

AFT
Created in 1957 at the initiative of the French Transport Federation Union, the AFT is the organisation responsible for the the development of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the Transport and Logistics industry. Its mission is to work for companies covered by the French national collective agreement for road transport (passengers/ goods) and related activities such as logistics and forwarding, as well as industrial and commercial companies with their own means of transport (private - or own-account - transport). The AFT is a non-profit organisation financed by the contribution of companies. It has one hundred and thirty employees to successfully fulfil all its duties.

TTS
TTS is a training, development and research institute. It was established in 1924 and operates in several locations in Finland. TTS is a non-profit association. TTS'
membership include private individuals, associations and companies. It's staff consists of 160 peoples and it has an annual turnover of 20 M€.
TTS participated in several international projects including EU financed projects, that focused on transport personal development, simulator use in developing training solutions and Smart Mobility, development of Smart Mobility solutions and their effects on the work of drivers, training of heavy vehicle drivers and all kinds of vehicle mechanics.
